Hyatt Regency Hong Kong, Sha Tin is the first international hotel in the New Territories. Situated adjacent to the Chinese University of Hong Kong and conveniently located at University Station, the hotel offers direct access to Tsim Sha Tsui, Hong Kong Island, Lo Wu and Lok Ma Chau via the Mass Transit Railway (MTR) and only 30 minutes by taxi from the Hong Kong International Airport. There are 434 Rooms and Suites, and 133 Long Stay Suites. The spacious 36-sq.-metre room is comfortably appointed with king size bed, writing desk with enhanced lighting, bath with glass wall so guests can watch TV from the tub, alongside separate rain shower. Contemporary decor features bamboo accessories and photographic montages of old and new Hong Kong, plus 42-inch multi-channel LCD flat-screen TV and wired and wireless broadband Internet access.

Named after the hotel’s street address number “18” which also means good fortune in terms of Feng Shui, Sha Tin 18 is a new concept for Hong Kong, serving authentic Cantonese cuisine in a lively show kitchen environment. Guests can choose to appreciate a front row view of the chefs in action in the show kitchens, and enjoy signature dishes such as pork ribs with preserved yellow bean paste and Houjie fish cakes from the wok kitchen, hand-pulled noodles and home made dumplings from the noodle and dumpling kitchen and authentic Peking duck from the BBQ kitchen, and freshly baked egg tarts and homemade Chinese influenced ice creams from the tea bar and dessert kitchen. Guest may also choose to dine at the spacious outdoor terrace to enjoy calming scenery of mountains and trees, or in the five private dining rooms for business lunches, meetings and private gatherings.

Guests will find all day dining (6.30 am to 11 pm) at The Cafe which consists of a lounge, main dining area, a private room for 10 persons and a terrace with mountain views. The show kitchens feature Hong Kong’s favourite steamed and wok fried dishes; sushi, sashimi and seafood on ice; carefully selected sliced premium cold cuts complemented by seasonal salads; freshly baked pizza and home made pastas; as well as prime meat and seafood grilled a-la-minute. No meal is complete without trying the freshly made desserts and baked pastries, with seasonal fruits and ice creams from the dessert kitchen.

Hyatt Regency Hong Kong, Sha Tin offers a wide selection of on-site and off-site activities. Featuring nine luxurious spa treatment suites and a Melo Moments relaxation room, Melo Spa offers a wide variety of result-oriented treatments.
