1881 Heritage
Located in the heart of Tsim Sha Tsui, the 120 year old Marine Police Headquarters have been rejuvenated and transformed into a new cultural and shopping landmark in Hong Kong by Cheung Kong (Holdings) Limited – the “1881 Heritage – featuring luxury shops, fine dining establishments, a Heritage Hotel and a Heritage Hall which allow visitors to discover the history of the site.
The rich colonial characteristic of the Old Marine Police Headquarters is reflected in the Victorian architecture of the building.
The revitalisation which was carried out in accordance with world conservation standards took over 6 years to complete and cost more than HK dollar one billion.
1881 Heritage features many of the leading international brands in jewellery and watches, gifts and designer fashion: a number of these prestigious brands have chosen 1881 Heritage as the address for their Hong Kong flagship stores.
Hellett House, which is located in the old main building, boasts exclusive hotel suites, restaurants and bars, all of which pay tribute to the rich history of Hong Kong. At the heart of Hellett House is a design-led heritage hotel that promises an intimate guest experience and old fashioned personal service in each of its 13 suites which ranges in size from 800 to 1100 sq ft with private terraced balconies with spectacular views over the city, harbour or the gardens and courtyard below.
